Are there any medical issues I need to know?
Reptiles and Frogs are quite clean animals, however they do carry some nasties in their digestive tract (like most animals do). These can include Salmonella, Ecoli and ammonia.Like all animals, good animal husbandry (clean and tidy cages and healthy animals) and good human hygiene (washing hands before and after touching) will sort out most issues. Many pet reptile owners now use alcohol/ethanol based hand cleaners which do a fantastic job of sterilizing hands.
